  • Beans – French & Broad
  • Garlic
  • Peas & Mangetout

Planting in December
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Fruit trees

Harvesting in December
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Cabbage

  • Celery (individual stalks)

Things to do in December
  • String ripe (red) chillies and peppers to dry
  • Pull up tomato plants and store green fruits in the dark to ripen
  • Check carrots, onions, garlic and tomatoes in store
  • Make green tomato chutney, chilli infused oil & vinegar and pickle chillis
  • Spread compost on empty beds as produce is pulled

Every year varies according to the weather and what we feel like trying / repeating. and so I will keep updating the list if things change.  However the above is the general outline of what will be happening on the veg plot in Catalaunya for January.  Please let me know if there are other things which vegetable growers in Spain could be doing – Thanks.
