I’m Having Blogging Internet Connection Issues

Well the internet is working for a few minutes so just to say hello there.  We’re having ‘issues’ with the Iberbanda connection.  Oh sometimes I think life with cables and pipes running to the house would be just lovely.  But no, we’ve got a little mini satellite dish type thing that miraculously collects the internet and sends it to my laptop (you can see I am a techno savvy whizzkid can’t you?).

Well for the last week the internet connection has been extremely hit and miss.  This morning I had lots planned with many photos too.  But after wasting a hours mostly playing spider solitaire as the internet grinds to life then stops again, I give up.

I shall come back another day and let you know how I spent Sunday being terribly terribly British mowing.  I’ll also let you know how I even got stripes into some of the land and how fab it looks.  I may even mention that I didn’t hit quite so many stones as usual and that the mower does work better with oil in it!

Perhaps then I’ll even share my joy at finding broccoli spears sprouting at last!

Maybe I’ll mention how warm its been and how lovely its been out in the vegetable patch.

But for now, I’ve got things to do, people to see etc.

So Adios Amigos!

ps I am so annoyed – the laptop said this post had been published yesterday morning but it hadn’t – bloomin’ internet.  So here it is a bit late.  Still no time to do all the things I was going to do.  Ho Hum!

If you enjoy the site why not make your Amazon purchases through these US or UK Amazon links? It costs you nothing more and means we can buy some more seeds!

Usually we have no problems at all with Iberbanda, just the odd time or two when we assume they’re doing maintence or something, which may last for quite a few hours. If we can’t get internet we usually try ringing the house phone and, if it doesn’t ring, we know it’s Iberbanda! We haven’t had trouble recently, but we’ll be getting our signal from somewhere different to you.

    Jan’s last blog post..It’s Hot!

  3. Dennis we used to have satellite and that was very expensive but very reliable, oh and very slow! Now we’ve got this Iberbanda – I think its sort of radio waves – there’s a mast near the village anyway. It’s normally fantastic – think it was just having an off week!

Jan it has been hot – great to be in the sun again!

I find that when the mysterious Spanish disease hits our broadband, letting Significant Other scream at it for a minute or two works wonders

Diane Foden’s last blog post..A funny old week

  5. Di, we favour the mutter under our breath at the laptop approach. Didn’t work though :)
