Planning Your Vegetable Growing Year
Well as its the new year – like everyone else in blogland I’ll say it… ‘I can’t believe its really 2009′, time to plan your future vegetable plot, patch, allotment, window box etc.
Each year I keep a note of when things go in, come out, survive, fail etc so I can garden without having to engage my brain too much in future years. You might find it helpful to see what I’ve got planned for 2009. If so just subscribe to my RSS feed via email – that thing on the left, and I’ll send it to you free of charge – aren’t I kind? It’s in excel format – don’t worry no numbers involved, so its easy to update with your own activities. It’s also formatted so should print onto four pages (landscape) pretty tidily and allow you to carry it round the garden, stick on your fridge and update the old-fashioned way with a pen (or pencil if you’re really old-school).
I am also keeping a more detailed ‘wordy’ monthly list of ‘to dos’ for the gardening year here. I find having a yearly plan of what’s occurring really helps me out no-end. I have a plan of action for each month to prompt my gardening activities. Of course things to be done one month may fall into the month before or after if the weather is hotter, colder, wetter than average but at least it gives me something to work with.
So subscribe via email to receive this fab free tool to help plan your gardening year – and the bonus is you’ll also get free email updates of all my lovely shiny new posts as they happen!

Gorgeous sky picture!
Dennis the Vizsla’s last blog post..In The Hall Of The Goblin King
That’s a fantastic picture! We haven’t had any gorgeous skies of late because of the cloud.
Jan’s last blog post..Compost
We’ve only had a few Jan, as the cloud seems to be the main sky feature of late too, but isn’t it lovely now if a tad cold and breezy – nice to get some solar action for a change!
